Founding Partner

Alden Zecha is a Founding Partner at consulting firm We Scale Impact and currently serves as a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Alden brings to these roles more than 30 years of broad-range executive expertise in operations, strategy and finance, and vast experience from work in more than 35 countries. He also serves as a director for businesses in the United States, Europe and Asia, and is a co-inventor on several patents.

In addition to operations, strategy and technology consulting roles, Alden has held operating positions in luxury travel, analytical instruments, transportation and logistics, and skin care distribution companies. He has launched multiple, successful multi­million dollar, multi-national initiatives and has raised more than $15m in capital for ventures including equity, debt and grants from such ultimate funders as Acumen Fund, Deutsche Bank, DFID and USAID.

Alden previously co-founded and served as CFO and Strategist of Sproxil, named the world’s most innovative company in health care by FastCompany in 2013, helping grow it to profitability and operations in 7 countries, co-founded and served as CFO of ultra-luxury travel company PrivatSea and CFO of Rethos, a sustainability and corporate social responsibility social media website. He also co-founded an OTC drug distribution company and worked with the Japanese MHW (FDA equivalent) on regulatory compliance issues for Procter & Gamble. Alden previously worked with consulting firms, Monitor Group and BearingPoint, and served as international economic development specialist for the State of Hawaii.

Alden received his MSE and BSE with honors in chemical engineering from Princeton University, where he was a United Technologies Scholar and Institute of Nuclear Power Operators Scholar, with his research focused on computer models of early stage treatments for HIV. He also holds a certificate in finance from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
