Vinod Parmeshwar is a Principal with consulting firm We Scale Impact. He brings 25 years of experience working with multinational NGOs and corporations, in Latin America, Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and North America. He has specific expertise in finance and human resources, as well as in marketing and sales. Vinod has worked extensively representing donors and project sponsors on humanitarian, impact projects and is passionate about scaling programs in developing countries.
Vinod has led a cross-functional team comprising human resources, information technology and administration professionals to improve quality of life through effective use, taxation and stewardship of land at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Previously, he helped launch Saving for Change at Oxfam, an innovative microfinance program which enabled more than half a million people in 5 countries save more than $13 million. Prior to joining the non-profit sector, Vinod worked successfully in a range of roles in the fast-moving consumer goods, industrial products, and banking industries.
He is a certified coach and has mentored entrepreneurs through multiple accelerators for more than a decade. He has created innovative solutions like an oral record keeping system, pictorial training manual and developed the financial model for a startup specializing in certifying fair labor practices. He taught microfinance at Brandeis University for 10+ years and has served as a mentor to startups through Accelerate Italy, Hult Prize, Our Generation Speaks, MIT IDEAS Challenge, Tufts $100k New Ventures Competition and Heller Startup Challenge.
Vinod holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management – Calcutta, and Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University.
