Principal
Ling Ling Phung is a Principal at consulting firm We Scale Impact and currently the founder of Two Lings, a business design, and innovation studio. She has 20 years of experience in business design and strategy. Over the last 9 years, she has focused on crafting new business models with social impact at its core. She works with corporate, NGO, and social enterprise teams on early-stage social innovation.
Specifically, she was Unilever’s Director of New Businesses in Developing and Emerging Markets, advisor to DFID’s private sector team, and business coach to Pearson’s Tomorrow’s Markets Incubator. She has served as a mentor or coach for MIT Global Ideas Challenge, Unreasonable Institute, Plus Acumen, Grand Challenges Canada, and Unilever & DFID’s Transform Program.
Her portfolio of work spans from infant malnutrition and safe drinking water to education and youth employability. Ling Ling has led initiatives in the US, UK, Kenya, Senegal, Mali, Swaziland, South Africa, Ghana, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Mexico.
Ling Ling is also a published author in HBR and speaker on innovation and intrapreneurship. She writes a fortnightly newsletter for social innovators called Zen & The Art of Social Innovation and was an Aspen Ideas Festival Global Health Spotlight Scholar in 2015. Ling Ling holds dual degrees, an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and an MPA/ID from Harvard Kennedy School.
